One day in Vizag by rented bike: a coastal itinerary

A flexible three-stop day around RK Beach, Kailasagiri and Rushikonda, with room for breaks and your return journey.

For one day in Vizag, keep the plan to a few stops rather than trying to fit the whole city into one rental. RK Beach, Kailasagiri and Rushikonda make a useful coastal shortlist: a waterfront stop, a hilltop view and another beach before your return journey.

This is a suggested itinerary, not a timed tour or a promise about road conditions. Choose the stops that suit your riding experience, check the day's weather and access information, and leave enough time to return the vehicle by your agreed deadline.

Before you start from Railway Station Road

If you are renting from Janatha Riders, arrange the vehicle before your visit to Kalyan Estates, Railway Station Road, Dwaraka Nagar. Activa and Dio are ₹400/day, Fascino is ₹600/day, and Yamaha FZ and Pulsar are ₹800/day. Choose a Scooty or motorcycle you are comfortable riding.

Bring original Aadhaar and driving-licence hard copies. Helmets are provided, and you arrange your own fuel. Save the agreed return time and the rental contact number before you set off. Check your route while parked and keep room in the plan for breaks, fuel and the journey back.

First stop: RK Beach

Ramakrishna Beach, commonly called RK Beach, is a straightforward place to begin a coastal day. The Visakhapatnam district tourism page identifies it as a scenic beach and notes the nearby Kali Temple.

Make this a stop to park in a permitted place, walk along the waterfront and decide how much of the day you want to spend outdoors. If you want a relaxed day, give this first stop some time rather than treating every place as a quick photograph. Follow posted local instructions and keep your vehicle off the beach.

Check directions for the next stop while parked, and keep an eye on the weather before continuing along the coast.

Second stop: Kailasagiri

Kailasagiri adds a different view to the day. The district's tourism guide describes a hill park overlooking the sea, with gardens and the Shiva-Parvati statues.

Allow time for the visit itself, not just the ride there. Check the current entrance arrangements, parking and any attraction you intend to use before making it part of a fixed schedule. If you want to use the ropeway or another attraction, check its current operation and ticket details before setting your schedule.

If you are uncomfortable with the route, visibility is poor or you are running short of time, leave this stop out. Completing three stops is less important than staying within your riding ability and rental period.

Third stop: Rushikonda, if the day allows

Rushikonda is another coastal stop identified in the district tourism guide. Consider it after Kailasagiri if the weather, current route and your remaining rental time make the extra journey sensible.

Before continuing, check the route back to your rental location as well as the route to the beach. Leave time for a food break and fuel if needed. If the day has already become tiring, returning after RK Beach and Kailasagiri is a perfectly reasonable plan.

Follow current local signs and advice at the beach. Choose a return time that gives you a buffer for traffic rather than using every last minute at the final stop.

Budget for the day and the return journey

  • Rental: allow for the agreed vehicle rate and rental period.
  • Fuel: arrange and pay for your own fuel; distance, traffic and the actual vehicle affect how much you use.
  • Stops: keep a separate budget for food, parking and any attraction tickets, checking current prices locally.
  • Return: leave enough time to get back without rushing. Late returns are chargeable.

A Janatha Riders rental day is 24 hours from the rental start time. That does not mean you need to keep riding all day. Confirm your start and return time with us, then plan a comfortable day inside that period.

When your dates are decided, check bike availability at our Railway Station Road location. Tell us your preferred vehicle and planned rental period so the booking details are agreed before you travel to the location.
